The Wiregrass Pathway to Optometry Scholarship was established in 2023. The scholarship will be awarded for the length of the Associate in Science Degree program.  Two (2) scholarships will pay up to 50% of tuition, fees, and/or books for two (2) full-time Wallace Community College students majoring in any pre-professional health program with a preference given to pre-optometry majors.  Recipients will be awarded one (1) scholarship– renewable for the length of the program if basic criteria are met.

Qualifications:

  • Recipient must have met the requirements for unconditional admission to WCC.
  • Scholarship will be awarded based on grade point average, unmet financial need, and recommendation from the Scholarship Committee.
  • Successful applicant will submit a completed application package to include this form, a short essay and recommendation letter.

Application Availability:  August 15 – noon on August 21, 2023
