Industrial Welding-12 weeks

The Industrial Welding program prepares students for employment in the welding industry as structural welders in a production environment. Students will gain hands-on experience with Oxy-fuel cutting, Plasma Arc Cutting, Gas Metal Arc Welding as well as an overview of blueprint reading and basic mathematics. The program includes a wide variety of welding experiences for structural and production welding. Students can exit the program with a certificate in welding and an AWS welding certification. In addition, the Wallace Campus has been designated by the American Welding Society as an Accredited Testing Facility.

Cost: $3,500; includes textbook and tool kit

Short-Term Credential Scholarship Program Grant

Eligibility Requirements for Scholarship

  • Must be an Alabama resident
  • Be registered or intend to register in an eligible short-term credential program that can be completed in two semesters or less and that will lead to in-demand career opportunities in the region which the community college where the course is taken is located

This course is approved for WIOA funding, Telamon, and Sallie Mae Loans

Wallace Workforce Development Refund Policy:

Written notice of withdrawal must be sent to the course point-of-contact two weeks prior to the course start date to receive a 100% refund.

To receive a 75% refund, written notice of withdrawal must be sent to the course point-of-contact one week prior to the course start date.

If a student attends the first night of training or does not send prior written notice of withdrawal per the guidelines above, no refund will be issued.
