WCCD’s Clarke Named ALAPCAE Staff Member of the Year

Wallace Community College-Dothan (WCCD) is proud to announce that Amanda Clarke, WCCD Adult Education Instructional Coordinator, was recently named “Staff Member of the Year” at the Alabama Association of Public Continuing and Adult Education (ALAPCAE) 2024 summer conference.

Clarke was recognized by ALAPCAE for her exceptional dedication and contributions to the field of adult education. Her enthusiasm for the field of Adult Education has had a positive impact on both WCCD staff and students. Going above and beyond in her role, Clarke’s efficiency, adaptability, kindness and positivity are instrumental in the success of WCCD’s Adult Education initiatives.

Clarke was also selected to serve on the ALAPCAE board of directors as the District 7 Representative for the Southern Region.

“Amanda Clarke’s dedication, knowledge, and commitment to providing exceptional AE services make her a true asset to our team,” said Barbara Steger, WCCD Director of Adult Education. “She truly embodies the spirit of teamwork and goes above and beyond in everything she does. Amanda is more than deserving of the ALAPCAE Staff of the Year award.”

Clarke credits the entire WCCD Adult Education department for her award recognition. “I am truly honored and grateful that I work with a team who not only believes but has the confidence in me to lead them as their Instructional Coordinator,” said Clarke. “Receiving this award validates the passion and love I have for Adult Education and our students here at Wallace Community College. This award is dedicated to my team because I could not be where I am now if it wasn’t for their trust in me.”
