February is Alabama’s Career and Technical Education Month! To celebrate, Wallace Community College’s Sparks Campus in Eufaula will hold a community Career Tech Night on Tuesday, February 22, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event will be held in the Bevill Center Auditorium on the Sparks Campus located at 3235 S Eufaula Avenue in Eufaula.
Campus tours will be offered as well as several breakout informational sessions, covering topics like Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), scholarship applications, applying to Wallace Community College, dual enrollment opportunities for high school students, and information on the Sparks Campus’ Career Technical programs.
“The Sparks Campus of Wallace Community College is a friendly, student-oriented campus that believes success is for everyone!” said Terri Ricks, WCC Coordinator of Student Services. “A variety of short-certificate programs (certificates that can be completed in a year or less), long-term certificate programs (certificates that can be completed within 18 months), and associate degrees (degrees that can be completed within 2 years) are available and prepare individuals for a career in their related field.”
The Sparks Campus in Eufaula offers the following Career Technical programs: Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Applied Engineering Technology, Business Technologies, Child Development, Computer Information Science, Criminal Justice, Medical Assisting, Practical Nursing, and Welding Technology.
