Wallace Community College-Dothan (WCCD) held its Fall 2024 Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremonies on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at the Ozark Civic Center. The ceremonies honored the hard work, dedication, and achievements of the newest graduates as they prepare to embark on their careers in healthcare.
WCCD’s Practical Nursing program had 34 graduates this fall, while the Associate Degree Nursing program graduated 80.
“The College and its nursing programs are very proud to have contributed to the addition of 114 new nurses in our local workforce,” said Kathy Buntin, WCCD Associate Dean of Health Sciences. “These individuals entrusted us with their educational goals, and we are so blessed to have played a part in their accomplishments. We enter 2025 knowing that these graduates, as well as the new and continuing students in all of our health sciences programs, have bright futures ahead of them!”
WCCD’s nursing programs have a strong legacy of preparing students for successful careers in healthcare. The programs are designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to provide exceptional care in a variety of clinical settings. The College extends its heartfelt congratulations to the graduating nurses and looks forward to witnessing their impact on the community as they step into their professional roles.
