Radiologic Technology (RAD) Courses
The Radiologic Technology Program at Wallace Community College seeks to prepare students for entry level employment in the healthcare arena. Students are provided clinical and didactic training in producing and processing radiographs essential for a radiologist’s accurate interpretation of the human anatomy on x-ray film and/or digital imaging systems. The Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) located at 20 North Wacker Drive, Suite 2850, Chicago, IL 60606-3182, 312.704.5300; www.jrcert.org. Completion of the Radiologic Technology curriculum prepares students to satisfy requirements of an Associate in Applied Science Degree and program graduates will be qualified to make application to sit for certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Admission to the Radiologic Technology Program is competitive and applications are accepted in spring of each year for Fall Semester entry. The Practical Nursing Program is accredited through 2024 by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), 3343 Peachtree Road, NE, Suite 850 Atlanta, Georgia 30326, 404-975-5000. In addition to ACEN accreditation, the Practical Nursing Program is approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
