Requirements for Using Honorlock
Before you can take an Honorlock-proctored exam, you will need:
- A computer with a working webcam and microphone.
- You cannot take an Honorlock-proctored exam with a mobile device or tablet.
- A stable internet connection.
- Google Chrome installed on your computer.
- Google Chrome is the only browser that can be used for a proctored exam.
- The Honorlock Chrome Extension installed.
- Wallace Community College ID
Troubleshooting Tips from Honorlock
- Student Toolbar: During assessments, exam takers have quick access to mid-exam tools via the student toolbar located at the bottom of the testing window.
- Access Codes: When the Honorlock integration is working properly, students will not be prompted to enter an access code to start the quiz. If you see a prompt to enter an access code in Canvas, something on your computer is interfering with Honorlock (Are you using the Chrome browser? Have you installed the Honorlock extension? Are you using an approved device? *no smartphones or tablets*) and you should start a live chat with Honorlock support for troubleshooting assistance.
- Minimum System Requirements: Students must be using a recent version of Google Chrome and a supported operating system to use Honorlock. You can run a system check from Honorlock’s support page to ensure that your device and browser meet minimum system requirements.
