New for Fall 2026

Course Waitlisting at Wallace

Beginning Fall 2026, Wallace Community College is introducing a course waitlist option for select classes. If an eligible course reaches capacity, students may join the waitlist and receive an email notification if a seat becomes available.

Includes detailed instructions and Banner screenshots.

How to Join a Course Waitlist

  1. Search for your desired course in Banner through your myWCC Experience account.
  2. If the course is full and waitlisting is available, select Add to Waitlist.
  3. Monitor your Wallace email for a notification that a seat has become available.
  4. Register within 24 hours of receiving the notification to claim the available seat.

Important Waitlist Information

  • Waitlists are available only for select courses during the pilot period.
  • Waitlists are prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • You have 24 hours after receiving a seat-available email to register before the opportunity is offered to the next student.
  • Prerequisites, corequisites, linked-course requirements, registration holds, and time conflicts still apply.
  • A waitlisted course does not count as enrolled credit for financial aid, enrollment verification, or other enrollment requirements.
  • Joining a waitlist does not register you for the course and does not guarantee that a seat will become available.

Why Use the Waitlist?

If a class you need is full, joining the waitlist allows you to be notified if a seat becomes available instead of repeatedly checking Banner. It provides another opportunity to enroll while helping Wallace make available seats accessible to students as quickly as possible.
